Although beginning his career as an artist later in life, Arthur Hammer was a prolific artist. Since his first solo show, in 1962, he spanned over four decades, working in several mediums including sculpture, oils, and pastels, but mostly he painted hundreds of paintings, with portraits being his favorite subjects. Below are some paintings which are lovingly owned by some of his patrons and collectors.
